When Fry first came into our care, he was completely shut down, and petrified of humans.

His body language radiated fear – tucked tail, crouched body, averted eye contact.

He lived in a constant state of anxiety, seeing every being that approached, as a monster.

It took many months of patient work, but thanks to the support of people like you, our team was able to provide Fry with the time, space and special care that he needed to get better.  

We were able to give him a powerful second-chance at a happy home.

As SA’s leading animal welfare organization, we see the state’s most traumatised animals. We pick up the pieces when they come to us broken.

But their suffering isn’t always physical, and their scars aren’t always visible.

We currently have more dogs than ever requiring special care, and we urgently need your support to give them a fighting chance.

As a community-funded charity, we simply couldn’t change the lives of dogs like Fry without the support of animal-lovers like you.

We urgently need your help to raise $58,500 to care for the higher numbers of special needs dogs in our care over the next two months.

Your donation today will fund vital one-on-one time with nervous dogs, improving their trust of people, and helping them get adopted sooner.

It will enable us to purchase enrichment toys and to undertake activities that help nervous dogs de-stress, gain confidence and build new skills.

It will fund anti-anxiety medications that can make a world of difference to their progress.
