They come into our care sick, injured, frightened and in pain. Their stories are heart-wrenching – these vulnerable animals may have survived unimaginable cruelty and neglect, or were perhaps left to fend for themselves on the streets for months.
In emergency situations, every second counts. We don’t always have the luxury of time to set up a special appeal for the animals that come to us in most dire need.
That is why we have established the Emergency Vet Fund – to give our big-hearted South Australian community of animal lovers like you, the opportunity to help animals in critical conditions.
Your kindness allows our veterinarian team to get straight to work, providing life-saving emergency treatment and surgery for animals in most desperate need, like Beans (pictured).
Beans was recently diagnosed with bone cancer, after coming into our care with a large swollen lump on his right wrist. Our veterinary team determined that leg amputation was the best option to stop the cancer spreading, and acted quickly to provide the vital care he needed.
You can show animals like Beans that they are loved with a compassionate gift to our Vet Emergency Fund today.
