First, the tiny kitten suffered an enormous abscess on her shoulder and limped in pain.
Then, she came down with a dreadful case of cat flu.
And now – an infection is eating away at the bone on Raven’s shoulder, and she can barely walk on her right leg.
Currently 4-months old, Raven came to us as an orphaned stray with her littermates three months ago.
She lost her mum at such a young age, and while we’ve been doing all we can to help her, things have only gotten harder for this darling little girl.
Raven has spent the past several weeks under the watchful eye of experienced RSPCA vet nurse and foster carer Jodie.
She’s been treated with multiple courses of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and pain relief.
Things were starting to look up.
But a couple of weeks ago, Raven started to limp again – and another X-ray revealed that the initial abscess on her shoulder had infected the entire joint.
